History

APOF Junior Eagles

Albion Park & Oak Flats Junior and Minor Football Club was established in 1964 and calls the Croom Sporting Fields, also known as the “Eagle Nest,” home. Junior rugby league in the area began in 1956, under the control of the senior club within Group 7 until 1963.

Thanks to the efforts of Jack Morgan, Billy Moss, and many others, the Junior and Minor Club was officially formed in 1964, starting with five teams. Since then, the club has grown substantially.

By 2024, APOFJRL fielded over 30 teams with more than 500 players and over 100 volunteers. We are a proud club with a rich history in the community, honored to have 26 life members who have significantly contributed to our success.

We remain committed to being all-inclusive and deeply passionate about the “Greatest Game of All.”
